Mike Bryan, who was born in Hedon, launched Hedon Hire in May 1986 in
a small workshop at George Street, Hedon. Total commitment to customer
service coupled with a rigid observance of safety standards meant that
the company expanded and rapidly outgrew its original premises and in
August 1988 the business moved to its present, larger premises in Market
Hill, Hedon.
Continuing observance of the initial high standards has enabled the company
to be accepted by the Hire Association of Europe, which has in turn opened
many further doors. The companies original business of small tool hire
to the retail trade has now grown and takes in many larger contracts and
customers across the industrial spectrum.
Hedon Hire's safety standards are second to none. Every item of equipment
that is hired out has a full safety check and inspection. Operating instructions
are also given and where necessary, demonstrations. Hire service labels
are attached to all equipment and are signed by trained staff.
Hedon Hire are proud to be of service to BP Exploration Operating Company,
the East Riding of Yorkshire Council, British Gas, Associated British
Ports, National Rivers Authority and Yorkshire Water to mention but a
few. In order to maintain a high service standard to these customers we
have carefully selected suppliers to meet our high standards. Amongst
these are Makita, Bosch, Unibore, Armeg and Bell Engineering. The Company
now also carries agencies for Tool & Equipment Sales.
